On Monday evening, Access Cardiology hosted our educational dinner, Cardiology for Primary Care – What to Look For, What to Do, When to Refer, bringing together general practitioners from across Perth for an evening of learning, discussion and networking.
The evening was designed to provide practical, evidence-based cardiology education for GPs, focusing on common cardiovascular conditions encountered in primary care and helping clinicians identify when further investigation, specialist assessment or referral may be appropriate.
As cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of illness and death in Australia, collaboration between primary care and specialist cardiology services plays a vital role in supporting early diagnosis, preventative care and improved patient outcomes.
