Dr Robert Tewksbury is a Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with a strong focus on delivering patient-centred care that supports long-term health and quality of life.

Dr Tewksbury practises primarily at Joondalup Health Campus and St John of God Subiaco Hospital, with public appointments at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital. He also consults from rooms in Joondalup and Cottesloe.

His clinical practice focuses on the contemporary management of vascular disease, particularly peripheral vascular disease, carotid disease and pelvic congestion syndrome. He works closely within multidisciplinary teams and is actively involved in the care of complex diabetic foot patients through the multidisciplinary Foot Unit at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. He is also a member of the stroke multidisciplinary teams at both Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus.

Dr Tewksbury completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 2010 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Vascular Surgery in 2019. In 2020, he undertook a fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane before relocating to Perth to take up a Staff Specialist position at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Tewksbury is involved in research through the Heart and Vascular Institute at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, with published work in tibial angioplasty and aorto-iliac stenting for peripheral arterial disease. He is also the Supervisor of Vascular Surgery Training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and contributes to medical education, mentoring junior doctors and teaching medical students at the University of Western Australia and Curtin University.

Dr Tewksbury consults privately with Access Vascular in Joondalup and Cottesloe, where he is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care for patients with complex vascular conditions. He accepts referrals from both metropolitan and regional Western Australia.
