We now offer video telehealth consultations, allowing you to speak with one of our cardiologists from the comfort of you…
What Is a Cardiology Consultation?
A cardiology consultation is an appointment with one of our heart specialist to assess your heart health. During the consultation, your cardiologist will take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, and any concerns you may have, and discuss how best to support your ongoing heart care.
What Do I Need for a Consultation?
To attend your cardiology consultation, you will need:
- A valid referral from your GP or referring doctor
- Your Medicare card (and private health insurance details, if applicable)
- A list of current medications
- Any relevant test results or reports, if you have them
Our team will let you know if there is anything else required before your appointment.
What to expect?
Your consultation will involve a detailed discussion about your health, symptoms, and medical history. Your cardiologist may review previous test results, discuss preventive heart health, and address any existing or potential cardiovascular concerns.
If further cardiac testing or treatment is recommended, this will be explained clearly so you understand your options and feel supported in deciding the next steps of your care.
