The device itself is a small machine that you wear on your waistband and connects to electrodes placed on your chest. Why has my doctor referred me for a Holter Monitor?

Your doctor may recommend a Holter Monitor to investigate symptoms such as:

What is involved in a Holter Monitor test?

• If you experience any symptoms, you should press the event button on the machine, and make note of the symptoms in the diary which provided.
