Dr Brian J Siva MBBS FRACP is an experienced General Physician and Nephrologist who began his career in 2009 after completing his RACP specialist training in Australia.
He provides both General Medical and Nephrology inpatient services at Hollywood Private Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus, and outpatient consultation services at Joondalup and Peel and Nedlands.
His main interests are in Retarding the Progression of CKD, Vascular Risk Factor Modification in CKD, Resistant Hypertension, Dialysis and Renal Palliative Care.
He was a graduate of the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in 1994. He obtained his Doctorate in Medicine in 2002 from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and became a Fellow of The Ceylon College of Physicians in 2010. He became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2009 in Nephrology. Since then, he has been working as a specialist Physician at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Peel Health Campus and St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
He has special interests in Nephrology, with glomerular and tubular-interstitial disorders, resistant
hypertension, diabetic nephropathy and renal tubular disorders.
In General Medicine, he has special interests in the management of diabetes, hypocholesteremia, thyroid disorders and non-surgical weight management in Obese patients.
